1. Drink water! Staying hydrated helps loosen trapped mucus that can cause a myriad of issues from sinusitis to pneumonia. Start with two glasses with each meal.


2. Foods rich in PROBIOTICS (yogurt, kombucha, miso, pickles, kimchi) - help to maintain a healthy digestive tract and improve the body’s immune response.


3. Foods that are high in ANTIOXIDANTS (colorful fruits & veggies, garlic, ginger, turmeric, pecans, green tea, dark chocolate, beans, blueberries, kale, spinach) - help prevent inflammation and various types of infections.


4. Foods high in VITAMIN C (all citrus fruits, broccoli, red bell pepper, papaya, strawberries) - help prevent the common cold for people who are exposed to sickness-inducing environments.
